Today is their first day of school. It's hard to believe how fast summer flew by!

Noah's Birthday Dinner

Friday was Noah's 9th birthday. It's hard to believe how much he has grown! He wanted to have his birthday dinner at Chilli's, and we invited our friends, Lina and Jacob.

Noah's having eye surgery

This is Noah when he was two. He has worn an eye patch for his right eye off and on for seven years hoping to strengthen the (lazy eye) muscle that turns out. His eye doctor recommended eye surgery where they go in the eye and work on the muscles inside. I cringe just thinking about it!

I'm still annoyed yet quite relieved that we FINALLY have a date for Noah's eye surgery with Texas Children's Hospital after 3 MONTHS of waiting!! Jim and I were hoping to schedule both his eye and ear surgery together, but they dropped our requests for 2 months without an explanation.

We gave up on the idea that two doctors could perform their surgery on the same day. Noah's surgery to repair his right eye muscle is on August 15, and it will be an out patient procedure. My sweet son will wear an eye covering (which he hates) for two days while he heals.

This will be his 14th surgery in his young life. Heavenly Father has watched over him throughout these trials, and I'll be forever grateful. I admire his positive attitude and courage to allow us to take him to the hospital knowing what's coming! When I was nine, you couldn't go anywhere near my eye.

I pray that his eye muscle will work well and for a quick recovery.

Seth had quite a very hot (up to 109 degrees) and busy week at Scout camp this week earning several badges. They came home in time for my 40th birthday.  :)

Noah's Cub Scout Camp

Noah went to Cub Scout camp the second week of June at the Fort Bend Fairgrounds and earned at least one badge! Here are a few pictures I took as one of their den walkers. Enjoy!

Moved

Last week we moved a mile away to a wonderful house on a quiet street. Noah was so happy to ride in the U haul with Jim. Look at that sweet face!
